Ian Sims

I am a professor in the physics department (the Institute of Physics Rennes, IPR) at the University of Rennes. I am involved in teaching (chemical) physics at undergraduate and masters level and research in the general area of gas-phase chemical kinetics, reaction dynamics and laboratory astrophysics and astrochemistry. In the Rennes Laboratory Astrophysics Group we specialise in measurements at extremes of temperature, in particular low temperatures using the CRESU (Reaction Kinetics in Uniform Supersonic Flow) technique that was invented and has been developed within our group.
